The English Language Calculator can be used to compare your IELTS (Academic) results against the English language requirements for your chosen main programme. If you do not currently meet the English language requirements of the programme, the calculator will suggest a King's College London Pre-sessional English Programme to help you meet the requirements. More information is available on the website.

This calculator is only suitable for use with IELTS (Academic) results. If you have taken another English proficiency test, please look at the English language requirements on the online prospectus (links are available below) or contact the Admissions team.

If you can't find your programme
Please make sure that you have typed the correct programme name into the system. The search function works on keywords and then suggests programme names, so it's essential you double check there are no typos or mistakes.

The majority of the programmes are included on this calculator. If you have any queries about a programme not available here, please contact the Admissions team.

Visa Requirements
If you require a visa to study the King's Pre-sessional course in the UK, you will be required to take IELTS for UKVI (Academic). Please see here for more information.
